Abstract

The Editors of the Medical Research Archives have retracted: Fiaturei et al., "Matricellular Regulation of Alveolar Epithelial Cell Plasticity in Neonatal Lung Injury: Insights from CCN5 and Beyond," Medical Research Archives, Vol. 13 Issue 10 (2025), DOI: 10.18103/mra.v13i10.6931. An investigation revealed that several of the citations in this review article are fabricated or unverifiable, including citations attributed to the lead author that do not exist in any journal or bibliographic database. The authors acknowledged using AI-assisted tools to generate the reference list without adequate verification. Due to the extent of fabricated citations, the scholarly integrity of the published work cannot be verified. Retracted: May 27, 2026
