Fracture pelvis chilld under 3 years
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pelvic fractures in the pediatric population are uncommon injuries, with an estimated incidence of approximately 1 per 100,000 children per year, and they are particularly rare in those under 3 years of age. However, they do occur in a relevant proportion of pediatric trauma patients and may be unstable in up to 10% of cases. These injuries are typically the result of high-energy trauma and are associated with an increased risk of morbidity and mortality, given that trauma represents one of the leading causes of death in the pediatric age group. In Mexico, epidemiological and clinical information on pelvic fractures in children is limited, highlighting the importance of their review and analysis.
