Surrogacy in Global Society: Science and Challenges

Abstract
Surrogacy is an advanced ART procedure which offers a pathway to parenthood where female cannot carry a baby due to unavoidable circumstances. Altruistic and commercial surrogacy are the arrangements which are practiced worldwide. But in these arrangements, there are medical outcomes, ethical challenges and legal issues which can affect the interests of surrogate mothers, intended parents and children born through surrogacy. More confusion and legal concerns arise in cross border surrogacy in which the citizen of one country engage in surrogacy process in another country. In this article, types of surrogacy arrangement, medical, ethical and legal issues related surrogacy are discussed in details.
