Biography: Adjunct professor in the Department of Anthropology and Museology at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) and the Graduate Program in Anthropology at UFPE. Coordinator of the AYÉ Research Group: interdisciplinary laboratory of nature, culture, and technique, and member of the Family, Gender, and Sexuality Center (FAGES/UFPE). Holds a PhD in anthropology and a post-doctorate in Public Health from UFPE. Works with the intersections of racialities, gender, health, and black epistemologies. Currently coordinates the project "Enegrecendo Currículos: racial relations in the medical courses of public universities in Pernambuco/Brazil.
