About Benoit

Benoît G. Bardy is a full professor of health and movement science at the University of Montpellier, France, where he is associated with EuroMov Digital Health in Motion. His research examines human movement, motor control, and synchronization between people, biological systems, and sensory processes, with applications in rehabilitation and digital health technologies. Through interdisciplinary projects, his work has explored rhythm-based approaches to movement rehabilitation, including adaptive music technologies designed to support gait and mobility in people with Parkinson’s disease and other movement-related conditions. With doctoral training in movement science from Aix-Marseille University and research experience at Brown University, he combines experimental movement science with digital technology to investigate how perception, action, and the environment shape human movement.
