About Charles
Charles J. Glueck, MD, is an endocrinologist and director of the Cholesterol, Metabolism, and Thrombosis Research Center in Cincinnati. His long research career has focused on lipid disorders, thrombophilia, hypofibrinolysis, and the links between inherited coagulation abnormalities and clinical disease. He trained in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and in endocrinology and metabolism at the National Institutes of Health. His extensive publication record addresses cholesterol, thrombosis, reproductive complications, osteonecrosis, and vascular risk. Recent work has examined anticoagulant-responsive osteonecrosis associated with familial procoagulant conditions and interactions between infection and thrombophilia.
