Cheryl Jones

Cheryl Jones is a neuro music therapist with Con Brio Music Therapy in Ottawa, Canada, and is affiliated with the Music and Health Research Institute at the University of Ottawa. Her clinical practice focuses on supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries and neurodegenerative disorders through music-based interventions targeting speech and language, motor skills, cognition, and psychosocial functioning. Research interests include the use of music to support cognitive and speech rehabilitation following brain trauma, and she has presented on music therapy and brain injury at provincial, national, and international conferences. Jones holds a PhD in the collaborative study of neuroscience and music from the University of Toronto and a Master of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, and has taught music therapy at several universities.
