Dr. Vijay Noel Nongpiur is an associate professor of pulmonary medicine at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) in Shillong, India. His clinical work encompasses pulmonary and critical care medicine, with experience in diagnostic and interventional pulmonology, including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound-guided biopsies, and medical thoracoscopy. His academic interests also include respiratory function assessment and sleep medicine, alongside teaching undergraduate medical students and residents. His research contributions include a co-authored study examining the clinical and demographic characteristics of patients with COVID-19 at a tertiary care hospital in Northeast India, published in Cureus in 2021.
