About Fayez

Fayez Alshehri is a physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Amputation Program of Rehabilitation Hospital in Riyadh. He earned an MBBS and has worked in the rehabilitation services of King Fahad Medical City, where he coauthored research on patterns of acquired upper and lower extremity amputation in a tertiary-care program. His clinical and research interests include amputation rehabilitation, prosthetic care, disability, functional outcomes, vascular and traumatic limb loss, and patient-reported outcome measures. His published work has examined delays in access to amputation rehabilitation and the limited routine use of PROMs among orthopedic surgeons in Saudi Arabia. His July 2026 editorial addresses integrated rehabilitation pathways, early physiatry involvement, regional access, national outcome tracking, and value-based care within Saudi Arabia's Health Sector Transformation Program.
