About Glyn
Glyn Elwyn is a clinician and researcher and co-director of the Coproduction Laboratory within The Dartmouth Institute at Dartmouth College. He holds MB BCh, MSc, and PhD qualifications, with medical training at Cardiff University and doctoral training at Radboud University Nijmegen. His specialty is shared decision-making in clinical care, with research spanning implementation, patient-experience measurement, decision aids, and recorded clinical encounters. He led development of collaboRATE and Observer OPTION-5, and created Option Grids patient decision aids for collaborative discussions between clinicians and patients. He has held academic appointments at Cardiff University, University College London, and institutions in the Netherlands and Switzerland. He is lead editor of Shared Decision Making: Evidence-Based Patient Choice and coauthor of research refining the incorpoRATE willingness measure.
