About Michael

Michael Ginzburg, PsyD, CO, is a certified orthotist, licensed clinical psychologist, and licensed marriage and family therapist at UC Davis Health. His work bridges physical medicine and behavioral health, with particular attention to scoliosis, spinal bracing, and the psychological factors that influence treatment participation. He is interested in how body image, family dynamics, motivation, and communication affect adherence to orthotic care. His clinical and scholarly work also addresses infant chest-wall surgery and later scoliosis risk, orthotic device performance, and collaborative approaches that help patients and families manage long-term musculoskeletal treatment.
