Roar Kloster

Roar Kloster is Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsø, Norway. His research focuses on neurosurgical treatment and patient outcomes, particularly in the management of intracranial aneurysms, brain tumors, spinal disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. Published work has examined surgical strategies for low-grade gliomas, outcomes following aneurysm treatment, and the development of emergency neurosurgical capabilities in resource-limited settings, including a training initiative at a regional hospital in Cambodia. Additional contributions address postoperative complications, surgical decision-making, and the use of minimally invasive and image-guided techniques in neurosurgery.
