Ronald VIRAG, MD

Ronald Virag, MD, is a French cardiovascular surgeon and andrologist whose career has centered on the vascular causes and treatment of erectile dysfunction. After training in general and cardiovascular surgery at the University of Paris and Paris hospitals, he established a multidisciplinary program devoted to male sexual medicine. He pioneered clinical use of intracavernosal vasoactive drugs and helped demonstrate the importance of vascular assessment in erectile disorders. He has published books and scientific articles on andrology, circulation, and sexual medicine, and has promoted recognition of erectile dysfunction as a potential marker of cardiovascular disease.
