About Victoria
Victoria Moreira Fernandes is an ophthalmologist pursuing advanced clinical training in interventional glaucoma and cataract surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Storm Eye Institute. Her clinical interests include glaucoma management, corneal disease, cataract surgery, and refractive surgery, with particular attention to surgical approaches for reducing intraocular pressure. After completing ophthalmology residency training in Brazil, she undertook further specialization in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at MUSC, building on additional training in Brazil. Her academic interests include glaucoma surgery, intraocular lens technology, ophthalmic research, and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
