In our increasingly ” post truth” , consumer- centric world, the provision of medical care is seen as a “transaction”. Due to the vulnerability of patients, medical care is not a ” free market” and doctors have sworn a Code of Ethics declaring to put a patients interests paramount. The result is an erosion of trust that forms the basis for the practice of medicine. In this presentation, we will discuss what we can do to uphold the future of our profession?
