Use of Cell conditioned media and natural extracts for Cancer therapy

The presentation addresses the possible role of stem cell conditioned media in triple negative breast cancer and the role of a natural extract in hormone dependent prostate cancer therapy as examples. We show that at sufficiently high, but safe, concentrations both conditioned media and extract have synergistic effects with conventional therapies. The purpose of such approaches is to improve the efficacy but lower the toxicity of current treatments, or avoid drug resistance, rather than replace current treatments. Some mechanistic molecular understanding of the action of conditioned media and extract is also provided.
