Biography

Dr. Nochiketa Mohanty is a medical and public health professional holding MBBS degree from V.S.S. Medical College, Sambalpur with MPH and MBA degrees from University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. He is currently working in Jhpiego as an Associate Director. He has formerly worked as the Deputy Chief of Party spearheading USAID’s flagship $25 million COVID response and Health system strengthening initiative in India, RISE . With over 20 years of public health experience and a proven track record of success, he has designed and implemented innovative solutions to tackle critical challenges in TB, HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, Women’s Cancer, COVID Response, Pandemic preparedness and Global Health security through various placements at National, Regional and State levels . From improving HIV diagnosis and management in urban communities to leading national COVID response and Global health security efforts including strengthening lab systems, Antimicrobial stewardship and One Health, Dr. Mohanty takes pride in using his expertise in public health, business, and medicine to drive measurable improvements in healthcare systems and public health outcomes.
