Abstract

The Nice University Hospital has implemented a process to centralize and address everyday operational issues. These issues refer to situations that prevent healthcare teams from working under optimal conditions and that may negatively affect the safety and quality of patient care. Inspired by Lean Management principles, this approach relies on visual management and promotes teamwork by encouraging the development of collective solutions. This article highlights the impact and added value of such an approach in improving the safety of the medication management process.
