About Adrian
Adrian Dubock is a member and executive secretary of the Golden Rice Humanitarian Board in Switzerland. He studied zoology at the University of Wales and completed a PhD at the University of Reading in 1976. His career includes scientific work with the United Kingdom's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, followed by roles at ICI and Syngenta. His biotechnology interests focus on humanitarian applications, licensing, and governance for Golden Rice, a project addressing micronutrient deficiency. He negotiated agreements supporting the project, conceived its Humanitarian Board model, became project manager in 2008, and took on the executive secretary role in 2010. His work combines agricultural biotechnology, access, and international project stewardship.
