About Dimitrios

Dimitrios Panagopoulos, MD, PhD, is a Greek neurosurgeon whose practice and research emphasize pediatric neurosurgery. He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, completed doctoral training in medicine, and undertook neurosurgical training at KAT Hospital in Athens. He later pursued subspecialty preparation in pediatric neurosurgery and has worked in university and children's hospitals in Greece. His clinical and scholarly interests include pediatric hydrocephalus, congenital spinal abnormalities, craniofacial malformations, neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular disorders, shunt complications, and complex spine surgery. Panagopoulos has published case reports, retrospective analyses, and reviews addressing uncommon neurological conditions and the surgical management of children with complex central nervous system disease.
