Eileen R. Giardino

Eileen R. Giardino is an Associate Professor at Rush University College of Nursing and a retired faculty member of the Cizik School of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. A nurse practitioner with expertise in adult and family nursing, her academic and clinical work has focused on the evaluation of sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, and suspected child maltreatment. Her publications address child and adult sexual abuse, and she has taught nursing and nurse practitioner students about recognizing and evaluating abuse. Her education includes a BSN and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, an MSN from Widener University, and adult and family nurse practitioner certification from La Salle University.
