About Fay
Fay Strohschein is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary, Canada, with a background in nursing and clinical oncology. Her research focuses on psychosocial and geriatric oncology, particularly how older adults with cancer navigate treatment decisions and how healthcare can better address their needs and concerns. Following doctoral studies in nursing at McGill University, where she examined treatment decision-making among older adults with colorectal cancer, she completed postdoctoral research at the University of Calgary in collaboration with Alberta Health Services. Her ongoing work explores ways to align cancer care with the experiences and priorities of older people and those close to them.
