About Joseph
Joseph William Szokol, MD, JD, MBA, FASA, is a clinical professor at UCLA Health, where his work centers on anesthesiology and perioperative medicine. Following medical training at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and anesthesiology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, he developed a career spanning clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare policy. His previous roles include Chief Health Policy Officer at the American Society of Anesthesiologists and Executive Director of Mentorship and Physician Development at the Keck School of Medicine.
