Nandar Mon, MD

Nandar Mon, MD, is an endocrinologist whose clinical interests include diabetes, metabolism, hypoglycemia, and disorders of pancreatic hormone secretion. She completed endocrine fellowship training at the University of Louisville and has contributed to academic case discussions and clinical education. Her research includes a rare report of coexisting pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor and nesidioblastosis, two conditions that can produce severe endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia. Her work highlights the diagnostic challenges of recurrent low blood glucose, the interpretation of supervised fasting studies, localization of insulin secretion, and the multidisciplinary decisions required when pancreatic structural and functional abnormalities occur together.
