About Tatsuhiko
Tatsuhiko Sato is a researcher at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency’s Nuclear Science and Engineering Directorate in Japan, where he has worked since 2001. His research spans radiation dosimetry, nuclear physics, radiobiology, and Monte Carlo simulation, with applications in radiation protection and medical treatment. Through work involving the Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System (PHITS) and the RT-PHITS dosimetry platform, he has contributed to computational methods for evaluating radiation exposure, modeling particle transport, and estimating absorbed doses in nuclear medicine and radiotherapy. Sato’s published research also addresses cosmic-ray exposure, microdosimetry, and the biological effects of ionizing radiation.
