01 · ABSTRACT

Abstract

The attached manuscript reviews the natural history of shoulder instability, which has a propensity to evolve into shoulder arthropathy. This type of arthropathy is fundamentally different from primary osteoarthritis. Special considerations are necessary in this population when shoulder arthroplasty is considered or performed. The attached review educates the general medical reader regarding these special considerations.
