Amy Camilleri-Zahra

Amy Camilleri Zahra graduated from the University of Malta, Malta with a Bachelor of Psychology degree (First Class Honours) in 2011 and then went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Disability Studies (Distinction) at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Malta. Amy Camilleri Zahra has been an organ donation activist for the past 8 years with involvement in a number of organisations. She has contributed to the disability sector both nationally and abroad. Last year, Camilleri Zahra was appointed Key Expert by the Employers Group of the European Economic and Social Committee to work on on opinion about the European Accessibility Act. She is President of Amputees4Amputees and Vice President (III) of the National Council of Women. Amy Camilleri Zahra was last year awarded the Women of Courage award by the US Ambassador to Malta G. Kathleen Hill and the Outstanding Young Active Citizen Award by Junior Chamber International.
