Ian S. Reynolds is a consultant general and colorectal surgeon at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, with clinical and research interests spanning colorectal cancer, surgical oncology, and gastrointestinal surgery. His research has explored the genomic characteristics of colorectal cancer, particularly mucinous colorectal tumors and their responses to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Through his academic work, he has contributed to studies on molecular markers, treatment resistance, surgical outcomes, and the management of peritoneal malignancies. Following specialist surgical training in Ireland, Reynolds completed an international fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Mayo Clinic and further training in peritoneal oncology at Dalhousie University in Canada.
