Justin J. Ernat, MD, MHA, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at University of Utah Health. His surgical practice focuses on knee and shoulder disorders, including ligament injuries, meniscal tears, cartilage restoration, instability, and complex multiligament knee injuries. He completed orthopaedic residency in the United States Army and advanced sports medicine training at the University of Utah. Dr. Ernat has published and presented orthopaedic research and serves athletes through team-physician roles. His work combines operative care, rehabilitation planning, injury prevention, and investigation of long-term outcomes after severe sports-related joint trauma.
