About Koto

Koto Imahori is a graduate student in Community Health and Prevention Research at Stanford University School of Medicine and a researcher with the Stanford Sports Equity Lab. Her academic interests include preventive medicine, suicidology, athlete mental health, trauma, eating disorders, and abuse in sporting environments. She studies how experiences of psychological, physical, and sexual violence affect athletes and how research can support prevention and recovery. Her work brings together population health, behavioral science, and athlete-centered advocacy, with an emphasis on improving safety and reducing barriers to support for students and competitive athletes.
