About Yetsa
Yetsa A. Tuakli-Wosornu, MD, MPH, is an associate professor of orthopaedics and sports medicine at Stanford University and founding director of the Sports Equity Lab. A board-certified physiatrist, she specializes in interventional spine and sports medicine while conducting research on athlete welfare, disability, abuse prevention, and equity in sport. She trained at Harvard Medical School, the University of Maryland, and Hospital for Special Surgery. A former international track-and-field athlete for Ghana, she combines clinical practice, research, policy leadership, and athlete experience to promote safer and more inclusive sporting environments worldwide.
