About Kristen
Kristen Maisano is an Associate Professor at St. Catherine University in Minnesota, where she supports occupational therapy education within the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences. With more than two decades of experience in occupational therapy, her clinical background includes working with military service members experiencing traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder, alongside experience in rehabilitation and academic instruction. Her scholarly interests include emotional well-being among college students, universal design, online learning, and traumatic brain injury, with research contributions addressing pediatric rehabilitation and interprofessional approaches to assessment and care. Through her teaching and research, she explores ways to strengthen healthcare education and prepare practitioners for the interpersonal and evidence-based demands of clinical practice.
