About Murat

Murat Tolga Yilmaz is a professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Atatürk University in Erzurum, Turkey, where he has pursued academic and research work in environmental technology since joining the university in 1997. His research focuses on water pollution control and wastewater treatment, particularly electrocoagulation, chemical coagulation, and the removal of boron and other contaminants from industrial and municipal wastewater. Related projects and publications have examined treatment methods for wastewater from sugar and pistachio processing industries, drinking water production from seawater, and the reuse of industrial by-products in construction materials. In addition to his research, he has supervised postgraduate and doctoral studies in environmental engineering and contributed to scientific conferences on water treatment and sustainable environmental management.
