About Wen-Jan

Wen-Jan Tuan, DHA, MPH, MS, is an associate professor of Family and Community Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine. His specialties include bioinformatics, health services research, electronic health records, health data exchange, and big data analytics. He studies healthcare quality and efficiency, patient-centered care, clinical teamwork, health information technology, and telehealth adoption, including responses to virtual care tools. His current research applies machine-learning methods to examine how system changes affect access and care quality for people with chronic illness and those receiving long-term opioid therapy. Tuan also serves as a Global Health Scholars Pathway site leader for Brazil and China, linking data-driven health services research with international education and collaboration.
