About Ali
Ali Yalcin, PhD, is an associate professor of industrial and management systems engineering whose research applies systems modeling and data analytics to healthcare and aging. He co-founded the Collaborative for Research and Education in Aging and Technology and has worked on ambient intelligence, internet-connected sensing, time-series analysis, and predictive methods for health data. His projects explore how unobtrusive technology can support monitoring and decision-making in home and clinical environments. He also teaches systems simulation, information systems, analytics, and dynamic modeling, linking engineering methods with practical questions in older-adult health, telemonitoring, and technology adoption.
