About Abdullah

Abdullah Al-Mamun is Assistant Professor of Paediatric Nephrology at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka, formerly Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He holds an MBBS from Rangpur Medical College, an MD in Paediatric Nephrology from BSMMU, and an ISPD fellowship from St Johns National Academy of Health Science in Bengaluru. His specialties include pediatric kidney disease, nephrotic syndrome, acute kidney injury, renal replacement therapy, and hypertension. His research covers peritoneal dialysis, chronic kidney disease, renal histopathology, and outcomes of childhood nephrotic syndrome. His notable work includes studies of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis and cardiac dysfunction in children with CKD. He co-authored the July 2026 pediatric UTI study.
