Mst Shanjida Sharmim

Mst Shanjida Sharmim is Assistant Professor of Paediatric Nephrology at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka, formerly Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. She holds an MBBS from Rangpur Medical College, FCPS in Paediatrics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an MD in Paediatric Nephrology from BSMMU. She completed an ISN fellowship in pediatric nephrology at St John's Medical College in Bengaluru and a fellowship in medical education at BIRDEM. Her research focuses on nephrotic syndrome, genetic causes of steroid resistance, acute kidney injury, nephrocalcinosis, and the economic burden of childhood kidney disease. She co-authored the July 2026 pediatric UTI study.
