Afroza Begum

Afroza Begum is a professor and chair of the Department of Paediatric Nephrology at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka. She is a pediatric nephrologist with MBBS training at Mymensingh Medical College, FCPS in paediatrics, an MD in paediatric nephrology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, and fellowship training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. Her clinical and research interests include childhood nephrotic syndrome, glomerular disease, chronic kidney disease, renal histopathology, acute kidney injury, lupus nephritis, and pediatric urinary tract infection. Her publications include studies of steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome, renal disease in children with COVID-19, bone mineral density in pediatric kidney disease, and antimicrobial patterns in pediatric UTI. She is a specialist in child and child-kidney disorders.
