About Sana
Sana Shah is a medical student at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in California, USA, and a member of the PLEXUS Creative Review team. Her writing explores the varied experiences of medicine through the perspectives of a patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider, using personal narratives and poetry to reflect on these roles. With a particular interest in narrative medicine, she views storytelling as a way to support advocacy, strengthen communication, and contribute to education in healthcare. Through her involvement with PLEXUS, she brings creative expression to conversations about medical experiences and the human dimensions of care.
