About Pervez
Pervez Sultan, MBChB, FRCA, MD(Res), is a professor of anesthesiology, perioperative and pain medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, with a courtesy appointment in obstetrics and gynecology. He is also an honorary professor at University College London. His research centers on defining, measuring, and improving postpartum recovery, including sleep, post-traumatic stress after childbirth, maternal morbidity, and health inequities. An NIH-funded investigator, he has authored more than 185 peer-reviewed publications and holds leadership roles in the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology and other professional organizations.
